She was defeated by Democratic nominee Kweisi Mfume by around 40 points. In July 2019, Klacik spoke about the Baltimore District of Congressman Elijah Cummings which was overrun by trash. But, the words of her spread when Donald Trump, the then President of the US tweeted about the matter continuously for 2 days. On replying to the comments of Trump, Klacik responded “This Just made my day”.

Well, she got insane popularity when a viral video was released of Klacik’s campaign titled “Black lives don’t matter to democrats”. This took place on August 18, 2020, where she asks three residents whether they want to defend the policy. The family answered they did not, followed by which Klacik also criticized the Democratic Leaders and pointed the city as the most dangerous city in America.

The video got 4.4 million views on the first day itself which then reached 10 million views in just 2 days on August 22, 2020. Although many media-based websites like Snapes called the video misleading and presented the pointed city as a city with higher poverty rates and more homicides. It was the same video in which Donald Trump tweeted “Kimberly will work with the Trump Administration and will bring Baltimore back and fast”.
